Cbse gets tough on bullying in schools

Cbse has gone tough on ragging and bullying in schools. It has laid fresh guidelines to curb such incidents. It is interesting to notice that cbse has suggested a graded response mechanism to address such cases of bullying. It further adds that a comprehensive list of guidelines may be incorporated for the school management with actions and penalties against such misconduct.

These actions may include verbal / written warning, suspension from attending of schools/classes , withholding of results, cancellation of school/ board results, imposition of fines and as strong as expulsion from school in case of rare circumstances.

Cbse has taken into consideration incidents like suicide attempt of a Bihar chief minister’s son after he was allegedly ragged in a school in Gwalior and many more such incidents. The board has also urged schools to keep a complaint/suggestion box to monitor feedback regularly. It further states that it is primarily a responsibility of schools to monitor and stop such incidents and implications of neglect will be penalized.

We realize that its a very positive move from cbse schools if they keep a strong check on such incidents and make schools an unbiased place to study cbse study material.

Silly mistakes that you can avoid in your exams

Many a times you would’ve come back and realized that you have made some silly mistakes. These silly mistakes would have cost you a good number of marks which would have improved your percentage and your rank. So, why do we make these silly mistakes and how do we avoid them ?

Here are the tips that can help you avoid them. Believe me, they work wonders.

1. Detailed reading

Most of the times we don’t read the question properly in exams. Ensure that you read each and every line very well. Just because time is running fast and you believe that you may run short of time, reading a question is the most important aspect. Most of the teachers try to take advantage of such habits and play around with questions with little twists.

2. Check the numbers and calculations

Most of the times, we don’t check all the numbers properly. Either we confuse between addition or subtraction signs or get the numbers or the calculations wrong. Do check each and every number and calculation properly. I suggest that you keep atleast 15 mins separately especially in a maths exam for revision.

3. Simplify questions and problems

Because the calculations or questions can become lengthy at times, we get confused. Simplify each problem and go step-by-step. It is important that you follow this approach especially in solving complex problems in exams. It pays a ton if you do so instead of speeding up and getting things incorrect. Also, keep all the maths formulas in check and ensure that you have used the formulas correctly.

Follow these simple tips and you will surely benefit by avoiding some of the silly mistakes in your exams. Its coming from a personal experience. We wish the best of you so that you prepare better for your exams and benefit from our simple tips. Do write to us in case of suggestions.
